Wine Compatible
Users have reported VeeCAD compatibility under Wine and Crossover Mac for
some years. During 2010, Wine-specific code was included to remove minor
issues. VeeCAD is tested on a recent release of Ubuntu-Wine.
Install on Ubuntu
In Firefox, go to http://veecad.com/free.html and download the VeeCAD installer. In Firefox downloads, right click the downloaded file and select "Open".
Let the installer run.
Running VeeCAD
Click Applications / Wine / Programs / VeeCAD to start VeeCAD! Remember to use Shift-Drag and Shift-Click in VeeCAD, not Alt-Drag and Alt-Click.
Wine Configuration
If some keys are not working correctly, you may have unusual Wine default settings. Select "Applications / Wine / Configure Wine". Click "Add Application" and browse for "Program Files\VeeCAD.exe" .
Click the Graphics tab and set as follows:
Click OK.
Click Applications / Wine / Programs / VeeCAD to start VeeCAD!
